About Tasiilaq
Tasiilaq er stærsti þéttbýlisstaður á Austur-Grænlandi. Íbúafjöldi var árið 2013 um 2017 manns. Tasiilaq er aðalþéttbýliskjarni í byggðarlaginu Ammassalik og annað tveggja þorpa á 3000 km langri austurströnd Grænlands. Þorpið var áður nefnt Ammassalik en það nafn er nú einungis notað um byggðarlagið allt. Á grænlensku þýðir nafnið „þorpið við fjörðinn sem er eins og stöðuvatn“.
