About Kokkola

Kokkola er borg og sveitarfélag í vestur-Finnlandi, í héraðinu Mið-Austurbotn við Helsingjabotn. Íbúar eru tæplega 48.000 (2019), 84.2% íbúanna eru finnskumælandi og 13.9% sænskumælandi. Kokkola er einn elsti bær landsins en Gústaf 2. Adólf Svíakonungur veitti honum bæjarréttindi árið 1620. Kokkola var þekktur fyrir skipasmíðar á 18. öld.
