Norður-Makedónía er land á Balkanskaga í suðaustanverðri Evrópu sem varð til við upplausn Júgóslavíu 1991. Nafngift landsins hefur verið mjög umdeild vegna þess að Makedónía er líka nafn á stærra landsvæði sem nær til lýðveldisins ásamt hluta Grikklands og Búlgaríu. Landið varð aðili að Sameinuðu þjóðunum árið 1993 undir heitinu „Fyrrum júgóslavneska lýðveldið Makedónía“. Makedónía er einnig nafn á héraði í Grikklandi nútímans.
